Course 1 - IOSH Managing Safely

A 4-day Institution of Occupational Health Accredited program, designed to cover all aspects relating to general health and safety in the workplace.

The course involves a written examination and a practical, requiring delegates to undertake a formal risk assessment of their workplace, the completed papers are assessed and delegates reaching the required standard are awarded the IOSH Managing Safely Certificate.

Aim

To provide delegates with an understanding of the current obligations placed upon organisations and individuals, enabling delegates to take a risk based approach and apply a suitable control strategy for workplace safety and health.

Core Objectives

The course will provide a sound foundation in health and safety management duties and accountabilities. Successful delegates will receive a recognised qualification in occupational health and safety.

Format

The course is tutor led using data projected slides and video. The course is highly interactive with delegates undertaking syndicate work and mock assessments in preparation for the examination.
