
A 3-day module following a British Occupational Hygiene Society syllabus, designed to cover the surveying of buildings for asbestos and bulk sampling techniques.
The syllabus involves a written examination and a practical assessment. Delegates are also required to submit two authored survey reports to BOHS and on reaching the required standard are awarded the BOHS P402 Proficiency Certificate.
This module provides background and practical knowledge in surveying buildings for asbestos and any necessary bulk sampling that may be required. It also provides guidance on management procedures employed to minimise asbestos exposure.

Anyone undertaking asbestos surveys, commissioning surveys, undertaking asbestos condition inspections or taking bulk samples.
Successful completion of the course, examinations and report submission will provide a recognised qualification in surveying buildings for asbestos and taking bulk samples.
The course is tutor led using classroom presentation and site-based practical work.
