
A 1-day module following the syllabus suggested in the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (2002) Approved Code of Practice L27 Regulation 9, designed to give workers in construction and allied trades an awareness of the risks posed by asbestos in buildings and how to avoid them.
The course includes a multiple choice assessment. On reaching the required standard, delegates are awarded a certificate indicating that they have been trained in accordance with HSE guidelines. This course will be individually tailored to reflect the training needs of the workforce.
This syllabus provides practical knowledge and skills to be able to manage exposure to asbestos in buildings arising from construction, repair, maintenance and related tasks.

Anyone planning or carrying out work that brings them into contact with a fabric of a building or machinery.
Delegates completing this course will have a greater appreciation of the risks of asbestos in building and of how to protect themselves.
The course is tutor led using classroom presentation, with practical exercises where appropriate.
